Hello dear family and friends,
What a day! Kelly's surgery went as planned and the doctor removed his lower lobe and a small amount of the middle and upper lobes. The doctor said that the mass was the size of a tennis ball and that the hope now is that without this absest in his lung, Kelly's body will now fight the fungus and pneumonia better. Kelly has a painful week ahead of recovery but, tonight he was thankful for epidurals! (I know how that feels!) I would love to share more of the special things God did for us this day but I have four little ones who will need me early in the morning so I must go to bed. We are so thankful for the prayers of the saint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are bless and encouraged beyond what you can imagine. Thank you Jesus for how you love us through your people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Gabriela

Tu Prima Maru Courtney y Familia.

Kelly & Gabriela,

Old neighbor from Idaho says "Hi". Joni didn't tell me about what you are going through (that's a different story for later) so it came as a shock that my friend Kelly is suffering physically. Kelly - I trust that Jesus is speaking to you about His love for you and about your life. I would have thought that you'd been through enough with the CDA Bible Church incident - but you must indeed be a precious vessel to Him. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I know my faith is challenged when I think about what you are going through but I'd like to know if you are comforted by the Lord. We all have unspoken concerns about the needs of your family and I think many peope are hold this whole thing up to the Lord. Bless you brother.

I'm sorry Gabriela, I was hoping for a miracle from God, as I know you were. Where do we go from here? I know that it really is best for that abscess to be gone from his body. It is true, his body will do better in fighting the fungus now. His body was really fighting hard to fight that amount of tumor (thats what I call it; any non-malignant mass can be called that). Will they biopsy the mass to see what exactly was going on with it, or to see what it is?

I will call you this weekend.

Our family would like to pass on the message that we have your entire family in our prayers regularly. You have all been such a big blessing to our church family...especially through Kelly's work establishing the Community Groups. I think it's only fitting that through these type of groups we are more prepared to support you guys in prayer and service. If there is a way we can be there for you, please let us know.
