"I know the plans I have for you,,,"

Another good day! Kelly was able to stay on schedule with his chemo in spite of the pneumonia. The doctor said that his lungs sounded as if they were on the mend but wants to keep a close eye on it. So please keep praying for the antibiotics to kill the infection in his lung and please also pray as we enter into our next induction of treatment. The next four weeks sound rather grewling. Chemo injections into his spin once a week, at the same time he will be taking chemo orally every day and receiving chemo intravenously four days a week. It sounds so daunting and yet I know that Jesus will be our strength! His grace is sufficient, He is know the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. What a comfort to know we are in His loving hands.

I have not forgotten about the two of you.As I would'nt be allowed to anyway!

I'm an atheist but I wanted to wish you luck on your journey - it sounds a hard road to travel.

I'm glad to hear that Kelly's doing better! CG leaders are praying for you!

I don't know how they do the mercaptopurine or 6MP (that should be one of what he'll be taking orally) at your hospital. But, with the kids, we have them take the oral chemo before they go to sleep so if they have any nausea, they just sleep through it, and makes it less miserable. The kids do well with it. I'll pass on any other tips you may need that i've learned from my families, if you want. Am praying for you!

Kelly & Gabriella,
Deborah & I are praying for you & your family. My heart is broken for you as you deal so graciously faithfully with your trial. I marvel at your strength. And we are blessed to have been touched by your ministry. I'm in for your next game of racket ball, I'm hoping to beat you this time.

Kelly,

Heidi and I continue to pray for your healing and strength. I was touched by Friday's post, because that is the same verse that Heidi claimed as her own as she battled breast cancer almost 10 years ago.

I recently read that diet drinks may be causing some of the illness we now face.

I'm reminded that God with his love and protection will not allow us to go through anything that we can't handle as we walk hand and hand with him.

I'll be anxious to hear the God stories as to how He has used your strong faith, courage and committment through this difficult time to glorify him.

Gabriella,
My Southern Gospel Quartet (Salt & Light), will be in Northern CA labor day weekend. Hopefully Heidi and I can stop by. Also we may be available for an additional concert Sat or Sunday.

I miss Kelly's leadership, and passion to make a difference in peoples lives.

Dear Kelly and Gabriella,
I just learned about your illness from Pam Plant in Alabama. Lyn and I are so sorry to hear that you have been going through this difficult time and we want you and Gabriella to know we care very much and will pray for you.

I have such empathy for you, having had blood transfusions and have experienced severe anemia myself, this year. It is just NO FUN! You have understanding and great sympathies!!

You both have such kind and gentle spirits that I imagine you are actually ministering to others while you yourselves are traveling down this road. Please know that your friends care deeply and want the very best for you and your family. Indulge yourselves with rest, as much as you can, and enjoy the small things. Oh yes, and laugh!

Love Joy to you both and to the children,

Margaret and Lyn Rippetue
